Kids Church is a fun, engaging environment where elementary students learn who God is and how to follow Him. This ministry takes place during the Sunday morning service and is designed to help kids understand biblical truth in age-appropriate and meaningful ways. Full training is provided by Pastors Lee & Dave.
Kids Church Teacher
The Kids Church Teacher (>18 years old) is responsible for leading the weekly lesson using the curriculum and materials that are provided. Teachers are not responsible for creating content, only for delivering it faithfully and engagingly.
Responsibilities:
Arrive at least 30 minutes before service for preparation and prayer
Teach the provided lesson and guide large-group instruction
Engage students through storytelling, questions, and interaction
Model Christlike character and a love for God’s Word
Partner with the assistant to maintain a positive learning environment
Kids Church Assistant
The Kids Church Assistant (high school aged and older) supports the teacher by helping maintain order, focus, and smooth transitions throughout the service.
Responsibilities:
Help students stay attentive and engaged during teaching
Assist with classroom management and transitions
Help distribute and collect supplies or materials
Address minor behavioral issues and redirect as needed
Communicate concerns to the Kids Church Teacher or ministry leadership
Training and background checks are required for all Kids Church volunteers and will be provided by ministry leadership.
